Hundreds of Christians drawn from Cathedral Archdeaconry assembled at ACK St. Peter and Veronica Ndumberi for their Shiloh Prayers Service to intercede for the Extra Mile 3 prayer items.
The service was a culmination of a seven week voyage across all Archdeaconries in the Diocese.
All attention now shifts to Saturday 2nd March 2024 where hundreds drawn from all corners of the Diocese are expected to grace the grand climax of the Shiloh Prayers with a Holy Communion Service at an elevation of 2,776 metres above sea level atop Mt. Longonot.
"The Bible is the only book we read whilst the author is present!"
Ev. Joseph Wachira noted in his homily which pondered on the five aspects that hinder Christian authority:
- sin
- doubt
- fear
- ignorance
- the absence of prayers
"Spiritual authority never passes through filthy pipes." He taught.
"Do not limit the things God can do in our lives. Make sure you pray for great things, for our God is not only a game changer, He is a record breaker too. When prayers become our habit, blessings become our lifestyle!"
The Sixth Mt. Kenya South Rt. Rev'd Canon Charles Muturi reasoned with the Congregants.
Cathedral Archdeacon Very Rev'd Canon Geoffrey Mungai, the entirety of Archdeaconry Priests, Evangelists, Lay-Readers, and Clergy Spouses were in attendance.
They were welcomed by Ndumberi Area Dean Rev'd Samuel Kiongo.
The Bishop vehemently thanked Christians across the Diocese for their immense support and immeasurable generosity registered during the three phases of the Walking with The Bishop An Extra Mile.
