AN EXQUISITE DIMKES DT SACCO BANKING HALL BLESSED IN KIKUYU
Kikuyu Town this mid-morning almost came to a standstill after a procession went round the town to mark the launch of the DIMKES DT SACCO branch in the town.
Led by The Sixth Mt. Kenya South Rt. Rev'd Canon Charles Muturi, Sigona Archdeaconry Clergy, DIMKES SACCO Staff and a live band, the procession snaked around Kikuyu town raising awareness of the banking facility.
The Bishop and Kikuyu Area Dean Rev'd Nelson Muchai addressed residents who had assembled in various points and prayed for their businesses.
The DIMKES SACCO Kikuyu Branch moves from the 1st floor of Muguku House to the more strategic and spacious ground floor of Queens Building.
Bishop Charles lauded the sacco management for ensuring the banking hall in the town is per excellence ideal for Gen Zee, which is the future of the country.
This is the seventh branch to be renovated as the sacco seeks to improve on its service delivery and business expansion in line with their 25th anniversary celebrations this year.
"Ask of Me, and I will give you all the nations; the whole earth will be yours."
The Bishop challenged the DIMKES SACCO management with the words of Psalms 2:8.
"Vision is the ability to see invisible things. Therefore, it is our duty to have lofty visions and set our marks upon great and glamorous standards.
God has called us not only as influencers in our immediate towns, He has similarly charged us to have a solid presence in all corners of the earth; to be world changers! For He is a God who can level any mountain and answer any prayer as long as we do what is best and what is right in His sight!" The Sixth added.
The ceremony was convened by the DIMKES SACCO leadership led by the Chairlady Mrs. Caroline Gikonyo, CEO Mr. Benson Maina, Mother's Union President Mrs. Lucy Muchene and Board Members.
The Service was graced by Ven. Leonard Mbito, Area Deans Rev'd Nelson Muchai, Rev'd Samuel Mbugua, Rev'd Josphat Ngahu, and a quorum of Clergy.
The Chairman of Laity Sir. Ken Wamitho was in attendance, as well as a section of leaders from the region.
Bishop Charles condemned the continuous and consistent skyrocketing taxation unleashed to struggling citizens by a callous and aloof regime.
"We are not opposed to paying taxes. What we can not condone is unfair and inflated taxation. Similarly, we rebuke corruption in government, rampant embezzlement of public funds, absence of trasparency, as well as leaders who are detached from the needs and plight of the electorate."_
