40TH CONFIRMATION HELD IN THE 40TH DEANERY OF THE 40TH ANNIVERSARY

The season of Confirmation of this 40th Diocesan Anniversary came to a climax today with the 40th Confirmation in the 40th Deanery. 81 Candidates of Dagoretti received the sacrament of confirmation by The Sixth Mt. Kenya South Rt. Rev'd Canon Charles Muturi at ACK St. James Dagoretti. "God is aware of the things we are going through. He is providing renewal despite our pitfalls. He is vigilant in our weariness, he is able to lift us to new heights and elevate us if we have faith and hope in Him. God is able to grant us wisdom, and restore us even giving an assurance of renewing our hope." Ven. Bernard Juma of Southern Nyanza Diocese urged Deanery Congregants in his homily derived fron Isaiah 40:28-32. He listed three things God requires of us in order to elevate us: 1. Understand the times God will grant you 2. Understand the value and virtue of perseverance 3. Learn to be simple so that you may do what God wants you to do The Service was graced by Dagoretti Area Dean Rev'd Simon Nginyo, Rev'd Nicholas Kurende, Rev'd Oliver Gacheru, Capt. Paul Njagi, Lay Readers and Evangelists. Mum was flanked by Clergy Spouses. She requested the Candidates to remain rooted in Christ not only today but throughout their lives.
