BRIGADERS PROCESSION BRINGS WANGIGE TO A STANDSTILL A procession like none other made up of hundreds of brigaders brought Wanginge Market Town to a standstill as they matched their way from Bishop Kariuki Centre to the venue of this year's Brigade Commissioning, Ndurarua Primary School. The young and the elderly, recruits and veterans accompanied by their Regimental Chaplain, The Sixth Mt. Kenya South Rt. Rev'd Canon Charles Muturi .streched forth in a steady unending blue and red stream through the merchant filled streets to the highway while the harmony of the drums, trumpets and cymbals announced their lingering presence besides providing rhythm for their steps. A total of 630 new Church Lads and Church Girls Brigade members were commissioned, while 200 others were promoted to a higher rank. As soldiers of the Most High God, you are called to be good stewards of your bodies and the environment. The world should see God through your lives." Bishop Charles urged in his sermonette. The colourful ceremony complete with a pass out was organised by the Regimental Commander Rev'd George Karuku. The Service was led by CTY Chaplain Ven. Rufus Githaiga assisted by Archdeaconry Coordinators.
