St. Stephen's Redhill now has a fresh new look after the Church's exterior was repainted and the compound acquired cabro pavings.
The Sixth Mt. Kenya South Rt. Rev'd Canon Charles Muturi blessed the beautifully choreographed compound a Boardroom and an exquisite Vicar's Office. A plaque in memory of the founders of the parish was unveiled.
The Bishop also laid the foundation stones of upcoming modern lavatory block and kitchen. He lauded Rev'd Mercy and Redhill Christians for a job awesomely done.
"A part-time christian cannot defeat a full-time devil! We are therefore called to be Christians around the clock, 365 days each year.
We are to die to the things of the world as Christ died for the church, even us we rise from sin to purity as Christ rose from the dead."
Bishop Charles reasoned with Congregants of the English and Kikuyu Services. He also spared time to teach Sunday School and share biscuits.
The services were led by Ndenderu Area Dean Rev'd Geoffrey Kinyanjui, the resident Vicar Rev'd Mercy Maina, Parish Lay Readers and Ev. Samuel Ngere.
Mama Wanjiku urged the Congregants not to tire in their service to God and mankind for it attracts unmatched blessings.
"You may sugarcoat or whitewash sin, but you can neither change its nature nor the consequences thereof. Sin is sin no matter who does it. Even if entire cities like Sodom and Gomorrah practise it, God will and can never bless sin!" The Sixth strongly condemned the emerging trends of LGBTQ.
