13 Lay Reader were today Commissioned and Licensed for Service in a colourful ceremony held at ACK St. James Cathedral Kiambu and attended by hundreds. Ev. James Muhia Wairimu now becomes the Kiambu Level 5 Hospital Chaplain. You have been called for solemn service to be: 1. to be a walking sermon 2. humble yourself 3. do what is right and best 4. Be courageous and resilient." The Sixth Mt. Kenya South Rt. Rev'd Canon Charles Muturi engaged the newly commissioned. The Service was led by the Vicar General, Ven. Canon John Mutonga, Administrative Secretary *Ven. Counsel Fredrick Gacheru, Ven. Samson Kakunyi, Ven. Canon John Nyoro, Ven. Canon Catherine Kang’ethe Area Deans and Clergy. They were hosted by the Provost *Very Rev'd Canon Geoffrey Mungai and Assistant Provost Rev'd Ann Mwaura. Mama Wanjiku was also in attendance.
