"There are 3 things that sustain the Christian Altar :
1. Congregants - Christians who attend services
2. Resources - everything we have is from God. We are but stewards
3. Altar Servants."
The Sixth Mt. Kenya South Rt. Rev'd Canon Charles Muturi spelt out as he joined Christians of ACK Emmanuel Kirienye in celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Parish.
In both Services characterised by hearty praises, The Bishop lauded Congregants for faithfully sustaining their faith and sanctuary for two decades.
He was welcomed by Mukui Area Rev'd Grace Muturi, the Vicar, Rev'd Nelson Kiragu and Karura Archdeaconry CTY Ev. James Ngugi.
"Let us not fall into the quagmire of the Collosian Church, who were Christians only in outward appearance while harbouring immorality, impurity and idolatry within.
When you choose the path of Christ, follow it wholeheartedly without any reservations. It is the small things we stubbornly withhold that barricade our blessings and keep us from realising our full potential!" Bishop Charles taught in a powerful homily based on the Subtheme of March 2024.
"Practise positively thinking, for we are a subtotal of our thoughts; we are what we think!.
Remember, to bear one anothers burdens, to love, forgive, support, and esteem others even as God has loved and owned you as His own children." The Bishop added.
He also blessed Children Ministry Classes at the Parish.
"We are God's creation, with a duty to praise and adore Him; just as you have walked with Him, He will be faithful too in your endeavours." Mum engaged Congregants.
