Newly elected Mother's Union Leaders across the Diocese congregated at ACK St. Peter’s Kirangari for their induction by The Sixth Mt. Kenya South Rt. Rev'd Canon Charles Muturi.
"Five kinds of women are most wanted in this age:
1. Women who can sacrifice their lives for their kin
2. Women whose outward beauty matches with the inner person.
3. Women who lengthen the days of their husbands
4. Women who can be praised by their children in life and in death
5. Women who let the Church be the Church."
The Mother's Union chaplain, Ven. Canon John Mutonga articulated.
"You have been called to be an epistle to be read by all," Bishop Charles who introduced the new Order of Elizabeth for the ladies above 55 years of age urged.
The induction was organised by the Mother's Union President Mrs. Lucy Muchene, Chairlady Mrs. Maryanne Njoroge and Coordinator Mrs. Eunice Mwaura.
They were hosted by Kirangari Archdeacon Ven. Canon Perminus Muiru and Rev'd Jennifer Wacera.
A good number of Clergy Spouses were in attendance.
