The Bishop Mashinani Initiative resumed today spreading the love of Christ to the extremely needy, sick, elderly, depressed, downtrodden as well as those living in deplorable conditions around St. Andrew's Kangoya Parish. The Sixth Mt. Kenya South Rt. Rev'd Canon Charles Muturi accompanied by Rev'd Moses Njogu and the Parish Pastoral team came to terms with abject poverty as they visited twelve families half of whom have moved to the area from other parts of the country, and beyond our borders to make ends meet. They fellowshipped with each family, blessing their homes, annointing the sick and injured, as well as pronouncing blessings upon their lives. Business owners in the area also had their hustles blessed. When Bishop Charles met Omondi, a needy teenager who worships at St. Stephen Kangoya, who is expected to join Kiambu High School, but his father is currently incapable of raising the finances, he was moved, pledging to cater for the first term tuition, school uniform and upkeep. He further promised to clear the fee balance of two sisters and a brother, who had been sent home from school due to last term's arrears. The Bishop was excited to observe the magnificence of the upcoming Kangoya Sanctuary.
