Christians of Karai were elated when The Sixth Mt. Kenya South Rt. Rev'd Canon Charles Muturi Consecrated their awesome sanctuary in a colourful Service. The Sub-Parish was also elevated to a Parish. The Bishop also presided over a mass wedding where 4 couples renewed their vows. A dozen children were also baptised, including the Vicar's daughter. The Services were led by Uthiru Archdeacon Ven. Stephen Ngariuku, Archdeaconry Clergy and Lay-Readers. *Rev'd Peter Njoroge was lauded for a good job after he was inducted as the first Vicar of the Parish. Mama Wanjiku was in the company of Clergy Spouses. "Seven things that will forever remain unchanged 1. Name of Jesus 2. Blood of Christ 3. The mind of God 4. Age of God 5. Mercies of God 6. The eyes and ears of God." Bishop Charles Muturi taught. "In this festive month, let us purpose to help the needy and poor amongst us. Let us be a Mother Teresa wherever you are. he added. The Service was attended by hundreds of Christians with almost one-third from other denominations.
