It was a delightful day for the Diocese, Delegates, Staff, and Members of DIMKES as the deposit taking SACCO celebrated its Silver Jubilee since its inception in 1999.

The exquisitely choreographed event beautifully transformed the ACK St. Paul's Kiambu grounds.

H.E. Pst. Dorcas Rigathi was the guest speaker of the sensational ceremony presided by The Sixth Mt. Kenya South Rt. Rev'd Canon Charles Muturi and Bishop Emeritus Rt. Rev'd Peter Njenga.

The Principal Secretary (PS) of the State Department of Cooperatives, Mr. Patrick Kilemi graced the event as well as the Deputy Governor of Kiambu County H.E. Rosemary Kirika, as well as heads of cooperative governing agencies.

DIMKES DT SACCO, which was hailed as a trailblazer in the industry, is the product of our very own Diocesan Mothers Union.

It seeks to grow its asset base from the current Kshs 2.85 billion to Kshs 5 billion by 2025 and the membership from 33,646 to 45,000 in the same duration.

The outstanding ceremony was organised by the DIMKES SACCO Board and Management led by Chairlady Mrs. Caroline Gikonyo, CEO Mr. Benson Maina and Mother's Union President Mrs. Lucy Muchene.

Almost all Diocesan Clergy were in attendance led by the Vicar General Ven. Canon John Mutonga and Administrative Secretary Ven. Counsel Fredrick Gacheru.

The Chairman of Laity, Sir Ken Wamitho, graced the event as well as Mama Nduta.

"Relationships is the currency of God's people," Very Rev'd Canon Geoffrey Mungai noted in his homily highlighting 10 priciples of relations.

"All wealth and sound investment ideas come from God. Similarly, there are no limits for us if we move with God." H.E. Pst. Dorcas observed.

Bishop Charles lauded the leadership of the Sacco for the clearly visible economic progress in the Diocese, its projects, Christians, schools, and communities. He also challenged DIMKES to open branches all over Kenya.

H.E. Pst. Dorcas Rigathi was hosted for lunch at the Bishop’s Bourne in Kiambu by The Sixth and Mum.
