The Sixth Mt. Kenya South Rt. Rev'd Canon Charles Muturi spent the better part of the day in the picturesque savannahs of Olchoronyori in Kiserian Archdeaconry seeking out the needy among them.

Accompanied by the resident Archdeacon Ven. Samson Kakunyi, Olchoronyori Vicar Rev'd Nelson Munala, Capt. Joseph Lemeiyan and PCC Members, they waded through the grasslands and cruized upon rugged dusty roads to reach the homes of the poor, sick, elderly, downtrodden, widows and those living with disability.

The Bishop today came face to face with retrogressive cultural practises right within the confines of this great Diocese.

Vivian, a 14 year old girl and her Mum were delighted when she was picked to join Form One in a good boarding school in Ndeiya after sitting for her KCPE.

To their dismay, the girl's dad had other plans. He firmly refused to pay the required high school fees. He further claimed that Vivian is ripe for marriage and that he was in the process of locating a suitable suitor.

Vivian's mum swiftly objected, only to be warned that if she dared intervene, she would be banned from attending church services.

Tears flowed, unabated as the two ladies who are staunch Christians of ACK St. Peter’s Murera Olchoronyori Parish narrated their ordeal.

Bishop Charles Muturi pledged to secure Vivian's education at all costs promising to clear her school fees for the entire year as well as ensuring she completes her secondary education undeterred.

The Bishop kwa Ground team fellowshipped with each family, spreading hope and the love of Christ, blessing their homes, and annointing the sick.

Each beneficiary received an assortment of foodstuffs and a blanket.

The Bishop Mashinani, Bishop na Mahustler, Bishop kwa Ground Outreach to need Christians continues on a weekly basis. Your support is desired to ensure this ministry benefits as many us as possible in a wholesome manner.
