BISHOP MASHINANI PASTORAL INITIATIVE MARKS MILESTONE OF 1,000 HOME VISITS AT KAMANGU, KIRIRI AREA

The Bishop Mashinani Pastoral Initiative reached a significant and deeply meaningful milestone as the Bishop successfully completed visits to 1,000 homes-fulfilling a promise he had made during his Episcopal Charge to personally reach out to the faithful, especially the less fortunate.
The *6th Mt. Kenya South, the Rt. Rev’d Canon Charles M. Muturi,* was warmly received at ACK Kiriri Church by the *Rev’d Ann Kariuki* together with the Christians of the parish. This marked the culmination of a remarkable pastoral journey that began in Kamirithu, Limuru and extended across various communities, touching the lives of the sick, the elderly, the differently abled, and the less privileged.
Moving from home to home, the Bishop offered prayers, encouragement, and spiritual support. He reminded believers of the call to walk in the way of the Cross, acknowledging that while the journey may be heavy and challenging, those who faithfully endure shall receive the promise of eternal life.
The *1,000th* home, belonging to *Lucy Wambui (Wathiani),* was a moment of great significance and thanksgiving. The Bishop prayed for the family and officially marked the fulfillment of his pledge to visit 1,000 homes,an achievement that stands as a testament to pastoral dedication, compassion, and servant leadership.
Following the final six home visits, the Bishop and the congregation gathered at ACK Kiriri Church for a time of reflection and worship, where the Seven Words of the Cross were read.
In his homily, the Bishop delivered a powerful and reflective message centered on repentance, humility, and Christian responsibility. Drawing from the events at the Cross, he spoke about the contrasting attitudes of the two thieves crucified alongside Jesus. One, filled with stubbornness, continued in mockery, while the other demonstrated wisdom, humility, and repentance.
