‎MOTHER MERCY HOME CELEBRATES 25TH ANNIVERSARY IN A JOYOUS THANKSGIVING SERVICE

‎Mother Mercy Home marked its 25th Anniversary in a colourful thanksgiving service held at ACK Holy Trinity Church, Two Rivers, bringing together clergy, Mothers’ Union members, partners, and well-wishers in celebration of God’s faithfulness over the years.

‎The celebrations began with the official opening of the magnificent MMH Heights,* an income-generating facility aimed at supporting the sustainability of Mother’s Mercy Home and its programmes. The building was officially opened by *Dr. Mrs. Elsie Nonyelum Nwokolo,* popularly known as *“Mama Niger,”* and dedicated by the *6th Mt. Kenya South, the Rt. Rev’d Canon Charles M. Muturi.*

‎The sermon was delivered by the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Nairobi, the *Rt. Rev’d Jonathan Kabiru,* who congratulated the Diocese, the Mothers’ Union, and the entire Mother Mercy Home fraternity for their dedication and commitment over the last 25 years.

‎Drawing his message from Micah 6:8, Bishop Kabiru reminded the congregation that God calls His people to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him. He encouraged those serving in ministry to continue serving with love and zeal, noting that true acts of mercy towards the poor, the sick, and the vulnerable are acts done unto God Himself.

‎The Bishop reminded the congregation not to grow weary in doing good, assuring them that at the proper time, God rewards every faithful act of service. He described the 25 years of Mother Mercy Home as years of extending God’s mercy to His people and noted that the ministry continues to strengthen the Church through its compassion and care.

‎Referring to the story of the Good Samaritan, he emphasized that while names may be forgotten, good deeds continue to speak for generations.

‎Bishop Muturi commended the Mother Mercy Home fraternity led by the Manager, *Madam Charity Mugechi, Mr. Charles Muigai, Chairlady Lay Canon Winnie Njenga.*
