He later consulted his peers; Jason T. Supeyo and Stanley Kariuki, the then chairman and secretary respectively. On 14th November 1979, they wrote a letter to Olkejuado County Council requesting for a plot to put up a church. On 9th July 1980, they got a reply confirming that a plot would be allocated. On 10th July 1981, a county council division clerk, Mr. Kashonda, was sent to show the trio the plot where we are today. THE FIRST & SECOND SERVICE The new congregation consisting of 13 members assembled for the first service, where the late Mr. Mukiri read the scripture from the book of Deuteronomy 8:2-10. The first congregation consisted of the following people; 1. Mr. James Mukiri – late 2. Mrs. Esther Mukiri 3. Mr. George Ngugi – late 4. Mrs. Grace Wangari Gaitho 5. Mrs. Ruth Wanjiru Kariuki 6. Having no seats available, the nearby members provided some. On 27th July 1981, the service attendance was 32, and collection for that day was Ksh. 37.25. After some time, the congregation decided to buy some wooden benches, 12 of which were donated by different families (currently being used by Kangawa church). Storage for the benches was provided by Mrs. Irene Njoroge at her home until the church hall was completed. In the course of time, the weather started changing from cold to rains, then the late Mr. Mukiri approached the chairman of Embul-Bul Primary School, Mr. Githinji, so as to be allowed to use one of the classroom to hold church services. The request was granted. The place was used till the completion of the church hall. The church plot was dedicated on 9th January 1983 by the then Diocesan D.M.A. secretary, Rev.
