Kenya South is a Diocese of the Anglican Church of Kenya which is headed by Archbishop Rt. Rev. Jackson Ole Sapit. The St. Stephen's Waithaka Church is headed by Her 10th Vicar and Area Dean. Rev. Captain Stanley Kinyanjui. St. Stephen's Waithaka parish is Headquarters to the Waithaka Deanery that consists of 4 other Parishes in the Riruta Archdeaconry. St. Stephen's Waithaka is located in Waithaka location along kikuyu road, Dagoretti south constituency. The Church serves a congregation of about 800 people who live in the catchment area of Waithaka, Riruta, Uthiru, and Ruthimitu. Note: This figure is expected to increase as it's New sanctuary is being Realized . The congregation is organized through internal fellowships of cell groups and departments, and 3 Sunday services. The history of St. Stephen's Waithaka parish dates back to 1988, Many milestones have been achieved , more recently the construction of St. Timothy kagira church and Divinity college, and its New sanctuary that is still ongoing. The New Beatiful and Acomodative sanctuary is expected to serve 3 times it's congregation. As soon as it's complete. Currently servicing under the church halls.
