“Your beginnings will seem humble, so prosperous will your future be.” Job 8:7. Our beginning was small, but God has greatly been faithful and made us prosperous. That afternoon of 31st December 1961, with 30 members inattendance, A.C.K St.Andrews Ndenderu was born. A daughter church to A.C.K St.John's Karura. That first service,held on 31st December, 1961 in the afternoon was led by the Late Morris Kinyanjui Ndenderu. The preacher was the Late Charles Kariithi Muthuma. The offering for the day was Ksh. 5/70 (five shillings and seventy cents). The service had about 30 members. In early 1962, Late Rev. Andrew Machua was appointed as the first Vicar of the Church. The Church continued to attract more and more members and on 1st January 1972, Canon Leonard Mbogo Mwaura took over as the new Vicar. In 1973 Ndenderu-Wangige road was tarmacked. Part of the Church plot was taken by the road and the Church was compensated. The area Council and Ndenderu Primary School committee were requested to give a portion for Church construction. Construction of a permanent Church started in 1974. The foundation stone was laid by the late Ass. Bishop Rt.Rev. Esborn Ngaruiya on 19/10/1975 under the Diocese of Fort Hall. The Vicar at this time was Canon Leonard Mbogo Mwaura. Mr Samuel Githenya supervised the construction. The Church was later consecrated by the late Rt. Rev. Obadiah Kariuki on 23rd May 1976 assisted by the late Bishop Ngaruiya and Canon Dedan Kamau. At this time, the congregation had grown to about 150 members and Kshs. 100 was their offering for the day. On 19th January, 1991 ACK St Andrew's Ndenderu was moved from Karura Parish to Gacharage Parish. In 1998, ACK St Andrew's Ndenderu became a Parish on its own under Rev. Juliet Bundi.Now Ven.Canon Juliet Bundi who is currently the Archdeacon of ACK ST Paul's Kiriita. The Vicars who have served A.C.K St.Andrew's Ndenderu congregation: 1. Ven.
